A press conference was held in Ishwarganj of Mymensingh against the complaint filed against the Uchakhila UP chairman by women UP members at the police station. The press conference was held at Uchakhila Union Parishad office on Saturday. UP Chairman Anwarul Hasan Khan Salim read the written statement at the press conference.

In a written statement at the press conference, Roksana Khatun, a reserved member of Ward No. 3, complained to me that the woman member had abused Ward No. 8 Rafiqul Islam on a mobile phone. On Thursday evening, in a meeting in the Union Parishad, when I asked Roksana about this matter, Roksana got excited and abused me in an inaudible language and left the office council. After some time he brought a sharp ram da and tried to kill me. At that time the local people kept him away. After that, he took refuge in conspiracy and filed a complaint with the police station with false baseless information that he assaulted and molested the house where he was sitting by holding a fistful of her hair.

He also said that this female member is an identified drug dealer. He always creates terror in the area. He strongly condemned the allegations leveled against him.

Roksana Khatun, a reserved woman member, said that the chairman called and asked to sign various project works. Later, when I refused, the chairman grabbed my hair and beat me with a shoe. Later I went to the police station and informed the officer in charge and filed a written complaint.

UP members Saiful Islam, Matiur Rahman, Rafiqul Islam, Shahidul Islam, Ashraful Islam, Taslima Begum and Jasmine Ara were present in the press conference.
