Ishwarganj (Mymensingh) Correspondent: Ishwarganj Upazila Jubo League held a discussion meeting, doa and milad mahfil on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, founder chairman of Awami Jubo League, one of the organizers of the Liberation War. On Monday (December 4) afternoon, a discussion meeting, prayer and Milad Mahfil were organized under the initiative of Upazila Jubo League President Abul Khair. Prayers and milad were conducted by Imam and Khatib Mufti Abdul Matin of Ishwarganj Bara Jame Masjid.

The family of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who died on August 15, along with the family of Jubo League founding chairman Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni and his wife Arju Moni, prayed for the soul of the doa and prayer. Besides Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil wished good health and long life.

Ishwarganj Upazila Jubo League Vice President Masood Talukdar, Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam Rubel, Publicity and Publication Secretary Manjur Morshed, Sports Affairs Secretary Al Amin Akand, Deputy Women Affairs Secretary Nusnat Ara Chowdhury Priya and other upazila and union Jubo League leaders and activists at various levels were present.

Before prayers and milad, President of Ishwarganj Upazila Jubo League Abul Khair said that Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni was the icon of youth politics in independent Bangladesh. Multi-talented. Apart from politics, he was an astute journalist and writer. Mujib played an important role as the head of the army in the Great War of Liberation. On August 15, 1875, Sheikh Moni and his wife Arju Moni, along with the family of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, were killed by Pakistani allies, anti-independence. Today we pray for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs who died on August 15, including Sheikh Moni. Also, I wish good health and long life to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil.
