Special Corespondent: Motilal, a drug dealer of Ishwarganj, Mymensingh, was arrested twice in one day by the police. He was arrested on Wednesday morning and sent to the court on the charge of drug consumption, but he came out in the afternoon and got drunk again and was arrested again at night.

It is known that Motilal Gaur, son of Ramprasad Gaur of Charnikhala area of Ishwarganj town, was arrested by the Ishwarganj police station on charges of drunkenness on Wednesday morning and sent to the court under Section 34. He came out in the afternoon. Later that same day, in the evening, he again drank alcohol and began to hang out in the city’s jute market. Later, based on the news of local residents, the police arrested him again. The next day Thursday, the case was sent to the court.

According to the affidavit of the case, on Wednesday night, after drinking alcohol, Lal Mia started drunkenness near the tea shop in Patbazar area of the city. Later, the locals informed the police and the police came and arrested Motilal in a drunken state.

According to local sources, several people including Motilal Gaur, son of Ramprasad Gaur of Charnikhala area of Ishwarganj town, have been dealing in drugs for a long time. In addition, Motilal used to abuse the people of the area by drinking alcohol. In order to stop the drug trade, half a hundred local residents filed a written complaint with the Ishwarganj police station. He was arrested several times before and after the charges. He has several drug cases under his name.

Officer-in-charge of Ishwarganj police station Mohammad Majedur Rahman said that a case has been filed against the accused Motilal under Section 25 of Table 36 (1) of Narcotics Control Act 2018 and has been handed over to the court. He also has several drug cases against him.
