Special Correspondent: Agricultural Extension Program in Tarakanda Upazila of Mymensingh in Light of Modern Agricultural Technology. The upazila agriculture extension department started the smart generation, smart agriculture activities by expressing agreement to the construction of smart Bangladesh of the current government.
In continuation of this, the upazila agriculture department is providing regular training to farmers with the aim of increasing the intensity of crops, best use of fallow land, production of safe vegetables free of toxins. Not only that, about 700 'family nutrition garden' exhibitions are underway in 10 unions of the upazila to meet the demand of family vegetables to produce poison-free vegetables in the home yard. Upazila agricultural officials are playing a role in creating new entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector by regular field visits, encouragement and advice.
Apart from this, the Department of Agriculture took the initiative to train the farmers about the mechanization of agriculture, including the protection of the environment and the techniques of modern agricultural production through yard meetings. And the green classroom is one of the parts of this program. Not only that, agriculture gallery and environment diary were started to interest the visitors and service users in agriculture and environment.

Ishwarganj (Mymensingh) Correspondent: Ishwarganj Upazila Jubo League held a discussion meeting, doa and milad mahfil on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, founder chairman of Awami Jubo League, one of the organizers of the Liberation War. Ishwarganj (Mymensingh) Correspondent: Upazila Awami League held a protest march and protest meeting in Ishwarganj of Mymensingh on August 21, 2004, on the orders of Tarek Zia, against the brutal grenade attack to kill Bangabandhu's daughter, Deshratna Sheikh Hasina, and the killing of 24 leaders and activists, including female Awami League leader IV Rahman.

A press conference was held in Ishwarganj of Mymensingh against the complaint filed against the Uchakhila UP chairman by women UP members at the police station. PDB's line helper Saiful Islam stole lakhs of taka by pretending to be a contractor in Ishwarganj of Mymensingh.
After investigation, it is known that a few days ago, the line helper was transferred from Ishwarganj to Tangail due to irregularities. Even though he was transferred, his irregularities and corruption did not stop. Coming to Ishwarganj from his work place in Tangail, he is claiming millions of taka as a contractor. Saiful Islam is getting away with such irregularities with the help of the resident engineer.
It is known that SN Builders, an authorized contractor of BUBO, is working on the installation of 20 pole 11 KV ST line from Sridharpur in Ramgopalpur Union of Gouripur under the jurisdiction of Ishwarganj PDB office to Nawagaon. But Saiful, posing as a contractor to the locals, made a contract of two hundred and fifty thousand rupees and grabbed one hundred thousand taka out of earnest money. Although the work was done by SN Builders, Saiful Islam is harassing the locals by installing the pole as per his wish without design. In this regard, two victims of harassment have also filed a written complaint with the resident engineer.
On the surface it is known that the workers who are working on installing the poles do not have the contractor's phone number but Saiful's phone number is correct. When the news of the journalists' presence reached Saiful, Saiful called his confidant Habibur Rahman and asked why the journalists had come.

Senior Awami League leader and former home minister Sahara Khatun has died at a Bangkok hospital at the age of 77.
The MP from Dhaka-18 breathed her last at 11:25pm BdST on Thursday, said her aide and relative Anisur Rahman, who was accompanying her there.
Party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has mourned her longtime confidante Sahara.
President Md Abdul Hamid said in a condolence message that Bangladesh has lost a dedicated politician through the death of Sahara Khatun.
Sahara Khatun was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka on Jun 2 with a fever, allergy and other preexisting conditions and later moved to the intensive care unit when her condition deteriorated.
She was flown to Thailand and admitted to Bumrungrad Hospital last Monday.
A member of the Awami League's presidium, Sahara Khatun is a three-time MP from the Dhaka seat.
