Speaker Maj (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmad and Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal have resigned from their posts in BNP.

Hafiz, who was a member of the BNP Standing Committee, submitted his resignation letter to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.

In the letter, he wrote that he voluntarily resigned from his position as a member of the BNP Standing Committee and from all posts at every level of the party to perform his duties neutrally as the speaker.

Similarly, Kayser Kamal, law affairs secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee, also submitted his resignation to the chairman, stepping down from all positions in the party.
